SFERRUZZA, Edward J., age 93, of Lodi, died on May 6, 2017. Born and raised in Garfield for 33 years, he moved to Lodi 60 years ago. Edward served in the US Army during WWII and he was decorated with the Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal, and the American Service Medal. He was a salesman for 38 years with the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Paramus retiring in 1998, he was a member fo the Lodi American Legion Post 136, and he was a parishioner and usher at Most Holy Name RC Church, Garfield. He is predeceased by his wife, Anna in 2001. He is survived by two children, Anne and Louis Sferruzza. The Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Most Holy Name RC Church, Garfield. Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery, South Hackensack.
